This tour takes us on a spectacular drive right around the peninsula. We visit the meeting place of
the 2 great oceans and experience the "fairest cape" in all its splendour. Starting at your
accommodation we move on to Clifton, Camps Bay and Llundudno. These affluent suburbs hang from the
rocks and shadow quaint beaches. The homes and ocean views will take your breath away.
We then cross the mountain saddle into Hout Bay, a small seaside village style suburb that likes
to be seen as separate to the rest of Cape Town and displays quite a different atmosphere. Here we
will visit the small harbour and drop in on Mariners Warf, a fish restaurant and shopping break.
Moving on, we will climb Chapman's Peak, one of the most rugged coastline routes in the country.
As we watch Hout Bay growing smaller in the distance we will descend again on Noordhoek which
sports one of the widest, longest and whitest beaches ever.
We pop past Kommetjie and Scarborough, famed for their surfing appeal and then take nature in
when we enter the Cape Point Nature Reserve where we will go to the hook of the peninsula.
The return route visits Simonstown, where we visit a breeding colony for the local African Penguins
and wind past the headquarters of the South African Navy.
Fish Hoek, Kalk bay and St James, and Muizenberg follow, each with differing appeal.
Finally we stop in at Rhodes Memorial overlooking the Cape Flats and perched above the University
of Cape Town. All in all a day full of scenic and cultural riches.
